Licensing Made for creators & small Businesses in mind
Licenses can feel overwhelming — I get it. My goal was to make this as clear and fair as possible, so you can focus on creating, not second-guessing. If you're ever unsure which license fits your project, just ask — I'm one person behind this shop and I'm always happy to help.

Have questions about licensing?
1. Licenses for Backgrounds & Design Assets
-
Yes! The Standard License (included with purchase) covers use for your own brand — social media, website, marketing, packaging, and email campaigns. This works for personal use and one-person businesses. It does not include selling products with the design or client work. For commercial use, please purchase a Commercial License separately.
-
Yes — for your own brand under the Standard License, and for client projects under the Commercial License or higher. As-is use is allowed for digital marketing, e.g. social media, website banners, email headers, and digital ads. Physical or digital products require modification or an Enhanced or Extended License.
-
Yes, with a Commercial License or higher. Social media, website banners, and digital ads — as-is allowed. Branding, identity, and printed materials — modification required (Commercial) or Enhanced/Extended for as-is. If your client wants to edit or reuse the files independently, they need their own license.
-
Yes, with a Commercial License or higher. You can sell wedding invitations & stationery, art prints, paper goods, packaging, branding materials, eBooks, courses, planners, and similar — up to 5,000 combined end products. The design must be modified into your own composition. For as-is use on sellable products, purchase Enhanced or Extended License.
-
For social media, websites, and digital ads — no modification needed. Use it as-is (Standard for your own brand, Commercial+ for clients).
For physical products — modification depends on the license:
Commercial License: you must modify — add text, combine with other elements, make it your own.
Enhanced/Extended: you can use it as-is (e.g. planner cover, packaging, greeting cards).
Not allowed under any license: selling the design as a standalone print, poster, or digital download. The end product must have its own value beyond the artwork itself.
-
It means you can't sell the design by itself. Examples:
✓ Allowed: Planner cover, invitation background, packaging — the product has value beyond the artwork.
✗ Not allowed: Standalone art print, poster, or digital download of the design.
-
Yes, with a Commercial, Enhanced, or Extended license — but the design must be modified and incorporated into your own unique composition. It cannot be uploaded to POD platforms as-is. POD is not permitted under the Standard License.
-
Yes. The Commercial, Enhanced, and Extended licenses all cover up to 5,000 lifetime combined end products per license. If you expect to exceed this, you can purchase an additional license or contact me before purchasing to discuss your needs.
-
One license = one person who can access and work with the original files. If you work in a team and multiple people need access to the files, each person needs their own license — or you can purchase the Extended Commercial License, which covers your whole team under one license.
-
Native apps, web apps, and games are not covered under Standard, Commercial, or Enhanced licenses. The Extended Commercial License includes one app, web app, or game downloaded or sold up to 250,000 times.
-
Reselling, redistributing, or sharing the original files with anyone outside your team
Allowing end users to download, extract, or access the original file
Selling the design as a standalone art print, poster, or digital download
Using the design in competitive products (e.g. selling it as a stock asset or background pack)
Claiming authorship or copyright of the design
-
Yes — simply purchase the higher-tier license. Your existing files remain valid and the new license governs your use going forward.
-
No credit is required — though if you'd like to tag or mention eclosque when you share your work, it's always appreciated!
2. Licenses for Canva Social Media Templates & Canva Printable Templates
-
Yes — you can use the template to create finished content for your clients, such as a set of social media posts delivered as exported images or files. However, the editable template itself cannot be shared with or transferred to the client. If your client wants to edit the template themselves, they need their own license.
-
No — the template is licensed for your own use only. Reselling, sharing, or redistributing the template file (edited or unedited) is not permitted.
-
No — the license covers digital social media use only.
-
Yes — you can incorporate it into your own course, program, or coaching package, distribute it to your clients, and use it as a lead magnet under your own brand.
-
Yes — you may customize the design (including colors, text, and branding) to create a final end product such as a PDF, workbook, or client material for sale.
You may not resell, share, or distribute the original or editable template files, and you may not claim ownership of the original design structure or layout. -
No — you may only share the final, non-editable version of your adapted product with clients. The original editable source file cannot be redistributed.
